The children in years 5 and 6  had a great day out on Friday at Stubbington Study Centre. They all showed determination and teamwork as they tackled the assault course in the morning, in an attempt to bring aid to people caught in an earthquake! In the afternoon they built dens - some being more waterproof than others - and practised their map reading skills. Well done to Liam and Domonic, who were awarded Stubbington Superstar badges for their excellent map reading. It was great to see some of the quieter members of the group showing real leadership skills throughout the day.

  • Nethercott Meeting Michael Morpurgo!

    Sat 18 Nov 2017

Mr Cox and his working group bumped into Michael Morpurgo whilst out and about on the farm today!

After a hearty lunch of meat and potato pie (followed by lemon cake and cream!), all of St Jude’s pupils (and staff) worked together to move piles of wood from one side of the farm to the over. Lots of pupils showed they were determined to work together successfully and did not stop for over an hour! The wood will now be split and eventually used in the log burner in the quiet room. After this farm task, group two prepared the stables for the donkeys, ponies and horses, and then led them to their home for the night. Group 1 went on the trailer to work with the cows and sheep and met with an unexpected, and famous, visitor!  Group 3 had a session indoors and are now out at the dairy for an evening job. Hot chocolate and a quiz about all the children have learnt today will end the day.
