Week 7 - Autumn Term 2023
We made the most of the sunshine this week and went on a listening walk in the local area. The children were very good at saying what they could hear. They also practised how to cross the road safely. We finished the walk with a park trip where the teachers and children had lots of fun together!
We have been focussing on developing the children's physical skills this week - gross and fine motor skills. They showed their fine motor skills when taking part in 'Scribble Club'. The children are great artists and give meaning to the marks that they make. They are gaining good control of their pencils/pens/crayons etc. The children worked on their gross motor skills when using the climbing equipment, running, rolling tyres etc.
We made a pre-school prayer area. The children helped to make this area and have been listening to stories and sitting quietly in this area, listening to calming music.
It has been a great half term. We have enjoyed getting to know our pre-school children and families better!
