After reading this fantastic book, the children began exploring different maps as part of our continuous provision. From world maps to local maps, the children were discussing symbols and colours that are shown on maps. We talked about the continents and learnt about land and sea. The children then made their own maps whilst out on a welly walk with Mrs Wynne. Stopping at different moment of their journey, the children sketched out the key parts of the area including trees, the outdoor classroom and the climbing frame.
