Westbury Manor Museum

We had a great visit to Westbury Manor Museum in Fareham today. They had a special Ancient Egyptian Exhibition and it was a mazing to see real artefacts from this time in history. We were amazed at the detail in the scarab beetle amulets and there were so many mummified animals! We saw a mummified cat, snake, hawk and crocodile, we were surprised by how small they were! We were able to try out an Egyptian pillow, not as soft as you might expect...it was made from wood! There were some interesting smells and a fetching pair of sandals to try on. What a great way to bring our learning to a close on this era...on to the next!
