Homework

Spring Term Maths Challenge

Spring Term Homework

Homework

Each child will be sent home with maths homework and spellings to practise each week. On the Wednesday of the following week the children will be tested on these spellings. We will discuss the expectations in school so the children will know what they have to complete. Children who do not complete their homework will have to complete it during our lunchtime support group.

Reading

In KS2, it is expected that children fill out the reading log themselves and ask a parent or carer to sign it. Without exception, children who read regularly make most progress in all areas of curriculum. Where possible, reading logs will be checked daily. School policy states that children should read a minimum of three times a week. Children who do not read three times a week will attend our lunchtime support group.

Maths Challenge
On the children's maths homework there will be 5 boxes to sign if your child has practised their maths facts during the week. There will be a maths reward at the end of each term for the children to work towards.
