Scottish Teaparty
As part of our geography unit, year 4 have been focusing on Scotland. To celebrate the culture of Scotland we decided to have a Scottish themed tea party. We decorated the classroom with some kilt bunting, of which we had each designed our own pattern for our clan. We then enjoyed some shortbread that we had prepared earlier that morning and listened to some Celtic music. We even had a surprise guest join us, who led a 'tour' around Scotland, showed and explained the history behind his uniform and played some traditional Scottish songs, including Flower of Scotland. The sound of the bagpipes and drums were electrifying and created a great atmosphere! Some of us were brave enough to perform a traditional highland dance in front of our visitor, whilst he accompanied with the bagpipes.
