The Wedding
The Wedding!
The children are learning all about Sacraments in RE - and as Maisey-Rae's Mummy and Daddy have just got married, we decided to learn all about the sacrament of marriage and have a wedding! The children dressed up and decided together on who would take on the different roles. We had the bride and groom, the bride's father and mother, the bridesmaid and a flower girl, the best man, all the family and friends, and of course the priest.
The Wedding
We have talked a lot about the special moment of the sacrament of marriage when the priest holds hands with the bride and groom and wraps the stole around their three hands, and we remember that God is with the Bride and groom in their marriage; it is a sacrament - a special meeting with God.
The Sacrament of Marriage
And of course, all the friends and family come together to pray for the Bride and Groom and say "Thank you" to God. Our reception class thought this was fantastic - it was a lovely afternoon, with singers at the wedding and of course we had to throw confetti at the end!
