St Peter and St Paul Feast Day Liturgy - Year 2 and Year 3

To celebrate the Feast Day of their class Saints, St Peter and St Paul, Year 2 and Year 3 held a special liturgy.  This was a time of prayer, exploring the lives of the Saints and reflecting on how we can learn from them.  In both of the classes we have been thinking about the awful atrocities which have affected the lives of so many people in the UK: the attacks on Manchester and London, and the tragic fire at Grenfell Tower.  So many lives destroyed and so many people in need of help.  St Paul taught us that everyone should be united in love, not torn apart by differences.

The children decided that they wanted to do something to help. As part of our Liturgy, the children bought in their pocket money to raise money for the 'UK Solidarity Fund', run by the Red Cross.  This is raising money for all those affected by the terror attacks in the UK.  

Together with their parents, the children have raised a fantastic £164.57 for this charity.  Absolutely amazing!  Thank you to all those who came and donated to these worthwhile cause.
