Year 2
Goodbye Year 2!
We have had a fantastic year with our amazing class. Looking back to the start of year 2, it's amazing to see how much the children have changed. They have worked incredibly hard and made good progress but they have also matured so much and grown in confidence - it's been lovely to see. They have certainly kept us busy! Thank you to all our lovely parents who have supported us with everything we have asked you to do - whether it's learning maths facts with your child or providing a costume - you've been great!

What an amazing term we've had! Have a look at some of what we've been up to in Year 2 Spring term.
Our Visit to HMS Victory!
What a fantastic day we had at the dockyard. Half the class had a 'Hands On' workshop with a Victory expert while the other half toured the ship. We then swapped over and later met up for lunch together. After lunch we went into the Victory museum and tried to find all the answers to our quiz. There were so many interesting facts to find out about the HMS Victory and the 800 men on board that we could have gone back for another day!
Term 1 is over!
What a great term we've had! Mrs Wynne and I are so proud of what the children have achieved. They have taken to year 2 very well and it has been a pleasure to teach them.

What we've been up to in maths!
In our maths lessons we have been exploring place value of numbers up to 100 and have now started to look at good ways to add and subtract. We are using lots of practical resources to help us and are practising counting on and back in ones and tens every day.
