As part of our states of matter focus. We investigated how we could change some solids into liquids. Charlie spotted that putting the ice cube in hot water, meant it melted very quickly. Hanoch observed how quickly the butter melted in the hot water, whilst the butter in the cold water stayed a solid. Grace noted that the chocolate placed over the hot water quickly melted. It became a thick liquid. Charlie-Ray noticed that we needed to heat all of the substances for this to happen. Can any of these changes be reversed?
In science we have been learning about states of matter. We created some movement pieces to show how the particles of solids, liquids and gases move.
