Key Person System

Each child has a key person who works in partnership with parents to ensure that the needs and interests of each child is met. The key person observes children both individually and in groups and keeps a record of children’s learning.

The key person will keep a record of written observations, photographs and video clips using an online Learning Journal system called Tapestry. Parents are given login details to enable them to access their child’s Tapestry account at home if they wish. Alternatively, parents can look at their child’s records in pre-school if they do not have access to a computer or mobile device at home. They are also able to contribute to Tapestry with observations and photographs that they have taken.
