When daddy fell into the pond WB05.06.17

This week the children have worked really hard to learn and perform a poem.  They explored the poem, looking at the language used and what the intention of the poet was.  This was quickly identified as being a humorous poem, needless to say, the children have had lots of fun learning the poem and putting actions to it!  

 

To begin, the children worked in small groups to perform one verse of the poem.  They worked really hard to learn all the words and perform in time with the other children in their group.  Once they were confident performing one verse, we collaborated and learnt to perform the whole poem.
