The following homework is set weekly.
Reading
Children will take home two books every Friday. These are to be returned the following Wednesday.
It is important that children read both books and comments are recorded in their reading diary.
Children are also given the opportunity to choose a book from the book corner to share with parents at home.
Please encourage a wide range of reading at home to stimulate your child’s imagination e.g. comics, magazines or recipe cards etc.
Spelling
Spellings will be sent home every Friday and are to be learnt that week. These will be a mixture of high frequency words and tricky words.
Maths
Children will be given a piece of maths homework every Friday. This is to be returned the following Wednesday. This may be a game, a maths problem to solve, an ICT activity, or flashcards.
