Book Week in Year 2
Well what a fantastic start to the half term! This week we have had some great experiences. On Tuesday we were lucky enough to meet author and illustrator, Paul Geraghty. He was very funny as he told us stories and what inspires him to write books. We found out that in every book he writes, there is always a little frog. Can you spot all the frogs? We were able to buy one of his books and get it signed.
Today, Thursday 2nd, we went by minibus to Waterstones in Fareham, where we got to use our £1 book token to purchase a book. There were some great books to choose from. We were lucky enough to hear a story read by one of the staff. It was a lovely outing. Then, in the afternoon, we got to spend quality time with our parents who came in to share story time with us. The children were so excited to listen to stories read by their parents, have a look at the photos below.
