The children were very excited to find worms in the pre-school playground. They compared the worms by size and thickness. They used the magnifying glasses to look at the worms more closely and also explored the school field looking for more worms.
As the children were still interested in worms when they came inside, some drew pictures of worms and others made worms with the playdough. They also watched some video clips of worms and found out some interesting facts.
The children learned that worms don't have any arms, legs or eyes but they can sense light. They are neither male or female. Baby worms are not born and they hatch from cocoons smaller than a grain of rice. The children also saw a clip of the largest worm found!
