Week Beginning 20.04.20

Good morning year 3 and welcome back to the summer term! J

I hope you are all well and have had a lovely Easter with your families.

Below are some documents which link to your home learning.

English- The activities will be linked to our new novel- Charlotte’s Web.  There is a link within the document, which will take you to an online version of the story.

I will put it below as well:

If there are any problems with accessing this link, please let me know via the Seesaw app.

Maths- There are two problem solving questions in the maths documents below.  These are meant to make you think.  If you think any of the problems cannot be solved, you must be able to justify this with an explanation!

Geography- We will be revisiting our topic ‘Eurovision’ and exploring the customs and traditions of European countries, as well as factual information, such as human and physical geography.  The first activity is attached below.

Science- Our new topic is 'Plants', which will involve naming plants and their features and functions.  We will also be investigating what plants need in order to survive and their life cycle.

Art- Please see the art challenge document.  There is a new object each day, to use as a stimulus for your art work.  You can use whichever medium you like, e.g. sketch, paint, sculpture, textiles etc.

PE-Try to keep active.  This will improve your concentration, give you more energy, and most importantly make you feel happier.

RE- Complete some of the Easter themed activities.  I have attached a document below, which explains the activities.  If you need any of the resources, you can find these on the page before this in the 'Holy Week and Easter Activities' tab.

When you have completed an activity, please make sure you upload it onto Seesaw and I will be able to have a look and comment on it.  I am really looking forward to seeing all your amazing work.  Remember to do what you can, and do not put too much pressure on yourselves.

Take care and continue to enjoy this lovely sunshine.
