Week beginning 06/12/21

We have had such a busy week this week – as always! The children have taken part in lots of Christmas activities including making Christmas cards, Christmas trees, collage pictures and playing Christmas lotto games.

The children have been learning Christmas songs and listening to many stories. We have played lots of music accompanied by some great dance moves!

Mrs Ray made pancakes with the children which we ate at snack time. The children enjoyed measuring out the ingredients and they tasted delicious!

Some of the children shared Tapestry photographs from home which they enjoy doing. This helps the children to develop confidence and communication and language skills.

On Thursday, Father Christmas visited the whole school and went into each classroom. The children heard the bells before he came into our classrooms and they were very excited. Father Christmas asked the children if they had been good which they said that they had! He told them that he would bring presents for them to open on Christmas morning. Father Christmas said that as the children had been so good, he had brought presents with him. The children had a lucky dip and were all very happy with their presents.

On Friday it was Christmas Jumper Day. The children raised money for Save the Children by wearing Christmas jumpers and/or accessories. We took a group photo and set up the timer. We had lots of fun trying to get the timing right!
