Week Beginning 06.07.20
Hello year 3!
I hope you are all having another productive and enjoyable week.
Can you believe we are now in July?! You (and your parents) have been working incredibly hard during these last few months. Take comfort from the fact you have done your very best to continue your learning at home and you will all be reunited in September after a summer break.
This week’s learning is outlined below:
English- This week, you will be reading the next two chapters in Charlotte’s Web- ‘Summer Days’ and ‘Bad News’. You will have a vocabulary task, a range of questions to answer, a prediction task and a creative task, which will involve creating a poster!
Maths- This week, you will be learning about measuring mass. If you have a set of scales at home, it would be great if you could take a look at the intervals on the scale and explore how they are used. You could even do some baking, which will help you to measure out ingredients accurately.
RE- This week, you will be recapping on the order of Mass and describing what happens in the four main parts.
Science- This week, you will be learning about an important scientist; Marie Curie. This links to our previous topic learnt in school, about bones.
History/Art- This week, you will be learning about the Renaissance period and choosing an artist that was inspirational during this time. You can choose whichever medium you would like to re-create a piece of their artwork, or maybe even design your own in the style of that artist.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
