Week 6
Our book focus for the past two weeks has been 'The Colour Monster' and our songs have been the 'Colour Monster Song' and 'Colorbubblies'. The children have been exploring emotions and learning the Makaton signs to go with them. They have been talking about how they feel and why and are developing good communication skills. We have also been working on listening and attention skills this week and using a 'Talking Spoon' to take turns to speak and listen.
The children collected leaves on the school field and did some printing with them. They thought about the colours of the leaves and made their own paint colours by mixing two or three colours together.
We have explored patterns with shape and colour and thought about what comes next in the sequence.
The children have been doing lots of singing and dancing this week. They particularly enjoyed our bubble machine disco!
We have had lots of lovely Tapestry entries recently. The children really enjoy sharing their photographs and videos from home with their teachers and friends.
