At St. Jude's we believe in a recognised and agreed school uniform. This gives children a sense of belonging and equality and a sense of personal pride and discipline. Our uniform shows that we are part of the St. Jude's community. We have the highest expectations from our pupils with regards to school uniform and appearance, and strongly believe that our high standards promote positive behaviour, support effective teaching and learning and contribute to the ethos of the school. Children are encouraged to take care of and be responsible for their own property as part of their education. Lost property is stored centrally and disposed of if not claimed within one month. All items of clothing should be clearly marked with the child's name.
Children will not be permitted to wear jeans or training shoes in school. No necklaces or jewellery are acceptable except SOS bangles and stud earrings.
Shoes should have a 'sensible' heel. High-heeled and sling backed shoes are impractical and could be dangerous, especially on steps.
