Spring 1 2023 - Week 3
Although it has been a very cold week, we have still managed to have lots of fun! The children have been learning about Chinese New Year. They made lantern collages, watched video clips of children celebrating Chinese New Year, watched a Chinese dragon dance and learned how to sign Chinese New Year using their Makaton signs. The children learned a new song about Chinese New Year. Next week we will be doing some food tasting!
Our book focus was 'My Shadow is Purple'. We talked about how we are the same and different from each other. We explored our class rules and the importance of being kind to each other. The children sung 'Good to be Me' using their Makaton signs.
