Self-Portraits
Before creating our own self-portraits, we did some research on a famous artist whose portfolio included a lot of self-portraits, Frida Kahlo. We each created our own research page, which included adding information about Frida Kahlo, selecting some of her paintings that we liked/disliked and some sketches of images that she often used in her artwork. We then got to work creating our own self-portraits. We looked in our mirror carefully to ensure that we studied our features before sketching. Once we were happy with our sketches, we added some colour.
