Pumpkin Artwork
Our focus artist this half term is Kristine Kainer. She is a modern artist, and most of her artwork focus on her passions; food, and being in nature. We were inspired by Kristine, to create our own pumpkin art through a range of different mediums. The four mediums that we used were: pencil, oil pastels, print and collage. Kristine specialises in oils, so we learnt this as our new skill. We learnt that if we apply the white oil pastel first, it will help the other colours to blend.
We learnt lots of other new skills, like creating a press poly print, making different tones by altering the pressure on the pastel and mixing materials to create texture.
