Pre-School - Week beginning Monday 8th February 2021
During this week the children have done lots of activities to promote physical development skills. They have played in the pre-school playground, used the adventure playground, taken part in music and movement activities and relaxed during yoga sessions.
The children were very excited to explore the snow and ice and used the new language that they had learned when they did their science experiments! They also did their own experiments by finding different ways to make the ice melt. When playing in the adventure playground, the children were very excited to find that a ball had been frozen in the water. They used their problem solving skills to think of ways to get the ball out. They cheered when they achieved this! They used sticks to break the ice and compared them in size and weight.
We celebrated Chinese New Year by doing a range of activities such as food tasting, dancing to Chinese music, watching video clips relating to Chinese New Year, practicing cutting and mark making skills and forming Chinese numbers!
We have had a fantastic half term. Mrs Breakwell, Mrs Ray and I have enjoyed seeing the home learning that has taken place this half term and look forward to when all are children return to pre-school.
