The children have been doing a lot of number work this term. They have sorted and counted objects, remembered that the last number said relates to how many objects they have, talked about one more than and one less than a number and used the mathematical language of more and fewer. They have recorded numbers in pencil, pens, paint, shaving foam etc. They have also made tally charts for various reasons such as asking each other if they were having packed lunch, school dinner or going home. They children have been on number hunts and played lots of number games learning through play.
