Nordic Art
Year 2 did an artist study on Jen Aranyi, who is a watercolour nature artist and graphic designer. We discovered that her art work is heavily influenced by nature and the world around us. We noticed the vibrant colours that she uses and discussed the contrast against the black line art. Like Aranyi, we drew our mountain landscape in pencil and then created a night sky using either warm or cold watercolours. We learnt how to let the colours bleed into one another and how to mix colours to create different shades. To finish, we used a black pen to add some detail.
We were thrilled with our results!
