School Council Visit to the Houses of Parliament

Yesterday, Key Stage 2 School Councillors visited the Houses of Parliament. We travelled up to London, on the train, with St John's Catholic Primary School Portsmouth and had a guided tour of the Palace of Westminster and a very informative workshop. We ended the day with an ice cream and a picnic in Jubilee park and returned to Fareham by 5.00pm. The children were a real credit to the school and their parents. Please see their comments below:

" I really enjoyed learning about the Lords and Baronesses, maybe I'll become one someday!" Faith

" I had the most amazing visit." Frances

" I loved the workshop and the train journey. I liked the workshop because we could work with  St John's   school council ." Matthew

" The Houses of Parliament trip was amazing. We learnt that the House of Commons are green and the House of  Lords are red." Holly

" I enjoyed the trip so much: I would love to go again. The royal rooms were magnificent!" Daisy

" I found it interesting that the Houses of Parliament has over 1000 rooms and every year the Queen visits." Liam
