Mental Health Awareness Week
The year’s theme for Mental Health Awareness Week, is nature. As a class we had a discussion on the benefits of spending time outside with nature and acknowledged how fortunate we are to live in such a beautiful part of the country. We recognised the fact we live so close by to the sea and also have the rolling countryside nearby; both give us a sense of awe and wonder.
We decided to spend some of our afternoons outside, to tackle our outdoor area, as it was looking very neglected. Gabriel’s family very kindly donated some sunflowers, so we got to work planting them into the soil and using some canes to support their growth. We also planted some marigolds, petunias and geraniums. We are very excited to see them flourish over the next couple of weeks!
As well as this, we followed some of the 'Super Mood Movers' singing and dancing videos.
As you can see, it definitely raised our spirits!
