Maths Story Book Competition
During the school celebration of World Book Day, on 15th March, Year 6 listened to some maths story books (Sir Cumference and the Dragon of Pi) and then read stories written by children in the 8-11 category of the YMSA (The Young Mathematical Story Author) competition from 2019 and 2020. When the children found out there was a 2021 competition, they were keen to enter and even wrote a letter to Mrs Wall asking her permission to come away from their usual timetable for a day (and a half!) to plan, write and illustrate their stories. 17 were completed and entered into this international competition. I shall keep you posted as to how we get on!
