Year 3 have produced some fantastic pieces of topic homework. Myself and Mrs Lowman have been blown away by the dedication, time and effort, those children who completed their homework, have put in.
One of the most popular choices of homework was the science option. We have currently got a convoy of ships in the classroom! Those children who designed and built their own model of the Zanzibar were up for the challenge to see whether their boats would float or sink. There was a very near 100% success rate! All of the children had thought carefully about the materials they used and some children were able to use their knowledge of forces to explain how ships float.
Other children decided to research more about the Scilly Isles, including the geography of the islands and significant saints associated with them. We have also got some lovely art work inspired by artists who use water as a theme in their work.
Well done year 3! We look forward to seeing the next piece of topic homework you produce J
