On Thursday, we enjoyed a guided tour of the Fareham area. We discovered that Fareham has lots more to offer than the High Street or a supermarket! We identified both physical and human geographical features along the way. Some of us visited the River Hamble at Warsash, whilst others visited Portchester Castle, right on the edge of Fareham and Portsmouth. All of us were very excited to be standing on Hill Head beach - one group even saw and heard the explosion of Fawley Power Station being demolished! What a moment in history. Please ask us at home about what we saw in the Fareham area. We will be using our pebbles from the beach as inspiration for our writing next week.
