Friday challenges
This week was a simple challenge: build the strongest free-standing bridge (spanning 15cm) from the materials given (1 sheet of A4, 1 metre of string and 1 metre of sellotape)... I won't say who won!
This week's Friday challenge was a tough one! Using a metre loop of string, pupils were challenged, in groups of 4, to make a range of 2 and 3-D shapes. Rules were: the string could not be untied; all pupils had to have one hand on the string at all times; and they had to convince an adult of their shape being accurate before moving on. Great enthusiasm, resilience and teamwork were observed!
