Forest School Week 5
Week 5 and the sun was shining! The children in the morning group got to experience the morning dew settled on the field before they went into camp to cook their pancakes. It is great to see the progress and confidence of the children as they cook and turn their pancakes. It is safe to say they have loved making and obviously eating their pancakes!
Dr Collins set the children a challenge! She asked them to stand facing the bushes and really spend time looking to see what they could spot. Slightly baffled by what they were asked to do, the children stood and looked at the bushes. Gradually, one by one, they became very animated as they spotted small creatures. A garden spider, flies, ants and earwigs were all seen.
After this the children split into two groups and made their own dens. The team leader managed and encouraged their teams brilliantly and by the end of the session we had 2 very good dens. One even had a garden and pet worm!
