Courage, Dear Heart Topic Homework

One again, year 3 have produced a brilliant selection of topic homework.  The topic homework this term, is all centered around the novel we are currently reading in class, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.  In the book, the children who enter Narnia, are all evacuees, who have travelled from London.  Some children decided to find out about the evacuation procedures.  One pupil even brought in his relative’s suitcase, that had been used to pack their belongings up in preparation for being evacuated to the countryside.  Others decided to get creative, and made their own artefact inspired by the events in the book.  Baking was also very popular, and we had a lot of WW2 chocolate cakes to eat our way through!  Other activities included, carrying out a scientific experiment on ice and writing a non-chronological report on fauns, which was inspired by one of the characters, Mr Tumnus.

Well done to all those children to did their topic homework and brought it in on time.  I look forward to seeing your final piece of topic homework later this term. J
